I am searching for a villa to rent in or very close to Argeles. I%26#39;d really like a private pool and accommodation to sleep four to six plus. Anyone have any recommendations. I%26#39;m loking to travel June 2006. I%26#39;ve never been to this area so any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you

Argeles-sur-mer is lovely as is Collioure. We stayed in a farmhouse in Villelongue-dels-monts fab outside but basic inside. It has 2double bedrooms and 1 twin with two pull out setee beds. I also visited another house that was for rent it was a town house in the same village with 3 massive double bedrooms with en-suite and 1 double 1 twin which shared a bathroom 2 kitchens 1 lounge.If you want more info e-mail me at ivan@imassociates.fslife.co.
St Cyprian ok but Canet and above very touristy with tons of accom, crazy golf,water park etc.
Are you looking for busy or quiet?

Thanks for your help, we have now booked a villa Argeles. No, I don%26#39;t know Steve Clapton but once again, thanks for taking the time to respond, if you know any good places to visit or restaurant recommendations i would love to hear

Good Restaurant: La Cuvea at Laroque des Alberes (signposted off main square)Chef/Owners wife is English.
Pizza/Pasta shops in most villages sell superb fresh pasta dishes - at reasonable prices.
Collioure is lovely.
we were on a business trip so did not have much time for touring around
