Travelling from Paris to Edinburgh

I%26#39;m from Australia and planning a trip to Europe in June. I%26#39;m trying to find out what is the easiest and cheapest way to go from Paris to Edinburgh? I am happy to travel overnight if that is an option? If anyone could help that would be great.
