Weather in August

What is the weather like in August? What is the average temperature? The travel guides seem to have omitted this information.

The temps are typically in the twenties. When I was there last June it was in the thirties, but it was during a long hot spell. Thunderstorms aren%26#39;t uncommon.

A good source of weather info is http://www.wunderground.com. You can put in a city and then, on that city%26#39;s page, use the Trip Planner to get averages for a given date range. Unfortunately, they don%26#39;t have Annecy. But they do have Geneve and Chambéry, which are close and are at similar elevations.

I don%26#39;t travel in August but I%26#39;ll be in Annecy for the month of June this year.
