Cooking Classes

We are traveling to Paris in June and I have heard that you can experience French cooking in private homes. This sounds like it would be a wonderful thing to do. I am very interested in any information anyone might have about this.

did you try searching in the forum for %26quot;cooking class%26quot;..?

|||

ok, I will!

first of all, you should %26#39;reply%26#39; to your original posts, instead of breaking up the %26#39;conversation%26#39; by starting a new one...

Now, see the search box just above the list of messages? type in %26quot; cooking class %26quot;, press the %26#39;search%26#39; ( or go or whatever it says) and that will bring up a new list of messages that will contain the words %26quot;cooking%26quot; or %26quot;class%26quot;. You might have to read quite a few of them to get the information you want, but it%26#39;s a start.

Also try using Google.com, a great search engine. Type in (use the quote marks) %26quot;Paris cooking classes%26quot; and see if you find anything.

Then, you could come back to this forum and ask people if anyone has been to or heard of this class..

I don%26#39;t want to cook at home, much less on vacation, haha, so I don%26#39;t have the information myself to give you.

Happy searching!

AnneParis is a regular poster in this forum and she gives cooking classes from her home. She is simply fantastic (I took a class last month) and I can%26#39;t recommend her highly enough.

I had the pleasure of meeting %26quot;anneparis%26quot;

when I was in Paris in September. She is one

gracious lady. I understand from several

people who have taken cooking classes in

her home that she and her husband Alain are

a joy to be with.

Follow the directions you have been given

and you will truly enjoy the experience.

This is a list of cooking classes in Paris, compiled by David Lebovitz.

davidlebovitz.com/archives/2005/11/#000149

David is an American pastry chef who lives in Paris. He has published several cookbooks and worked at Chez Panisse in Berkeley for 12 years. These are not his classes but he is a reputable source of information on the subject. Some are professional-level classes lasting a week or several months, while others are for dedicated home cooks where you can prepare a meal with a local cook in their Parisian kitchen.
