The Paris Story

I was reading reviews of the hotel we plan to stay at this spring and someone mentioned walking to this. Is this a performance at the Opera Garnier ? It sort of sounds like the story of the origins of Paris which sounds interesting.

Also, what about a tour or attending a performance at the Opera Garnier ? Where would I find out about these ?
