What is the best way to get from the airport in Nice toward downtown?
My hotel is Citea Nice Magnan on avenue Californie
I have seen a reference to bus line 23; is that correct? How often does it run? Fare?
About how much would a taxi be?

The No 23 bus goes between the Airport and the Train station and passes along avenue Californie. The fare is about 1€ and it runs every 20 minutes or so. It is the local public bus and so can be rather crowded at times so a little difficult with luggage. There is the Direct bus service which is a little more expensive with fewer stops. Cab will be an easy 20 euro. Bus is 1,30 euro unless you take bus 98, fare is 4 euro but you keep your ticket for the rest of the day. Bus is only from airport, so you should have oplenty of room for your bags. Get off at Magnan stop, cross the Promenade des Anglais and walk to Ave Californie.Make a left on Californie, it is at 12 ave Californie, very close from corner.
