Bonjour everyone!
Okay, I just read a suggestion here about way-out-there experiences, and the Dans de Noir (probably spelled wrong!) was mentioned. I was curious, and so I went to Google and looked it up.
It really intriqued me! It is so out of my box, that I am eager to try it out!
For those who don%26#39;t know what I am referring to, it is a bistro, where all the waitstaff are blind, and you are led by the staff, into a room that is completely void of light of any kind. So you must dine in complete darkness, which is supposed to enhance your taste sensations, hearing, and all other senses, probably.
BUT!!.......
I read a review by someone on the internet, off the Google sights, and what he, or she said, stopped my enthusiasm COLD!
They made reference to how exciting it could be, if you just kept quiet, and the lights didn%26#39;t accidently turn on, etc....
If any of you reading has failed to see the light, let me clue you in....this person was referring to how great this place was because it might be a spot for %26quot;Randy%26quot; couples looking for a daring %26quot;Sects-in-public%26quot; experience...just try to make as little noise as possible, and hope nobody turns on the lights!
Ok, call me a P R U D E....but, that just killed the entire concept of the restaurant for me!
I hope someone can tell me they dined there, and it was NOT like that at all. I don%26#39;t want to try the experience if the place is swamped with others seeking an entirely DIFFERANT experience, if you know what I mean!
So, has anyone on this site have some helpfull insight into this intriquing dining experience????

It sounds more than a bit pretentious and I reckon I wouldn%26#39;t order the soup.
Kind of inevitable, if you put couples in a completely darkened environment is a situation that should be romantic (i.e. dining out in Paris), that you%26#39;ll get a bit of risque behaviour. I%26#39;d be a bit cautious, though - if you get carried away and don%26#39;t hear the waiter coming, you could find yourself canoodling amongst the noodles.
Try going to a normal restaurant and wearing a blindfold.
