Emergency Help!! Art Schools in Paris for short course

I need some desperate help in finding an art history/fasion/arts course in Paris for about 2 weeks. I have been learning french for 10+ years so I wanted to take an art course in Paris to be more fluent in the language. But I can%26#39;t find anywhere that offer short courses. Please help?? Thanks!!! Somewhere like l%26#39;ecole du louvre would be perfect, but I don%26#39;t think they do short courses!

This is a month long course in May on Art History.

I%26#39;m not sure that would fit the bill: %26quot;Open to any University of Minnesota undergraduate%26quot;, which means that even if you are admitted, all the other participants will be american. You probably won%26#39;t learn to be more fluent in french from them.

Art schools in Paris are either professional academies with entry exams and a 3 to 5 year full-time curriculum, or small, private %26quot;one evening a week%26quot; schools. There are lots of painting/drawing/sculpting holidays in the french countryside, though.

Have a look at http://www.art-atlas.net/browse.php?cat=110

Last year, the Ecole du Louvre offered %26quot;Cours d%26#39;été%26quot; in june and july, (five mornings per course), maybe that%26#39;s what you%26#39;re looking for? http://www.ecoledulouvre.fr Their site is not up to date, only mentions past courses.

These are all great ideas, except that I will be in Paris late-Feb/early-March 2006. Know of any short courses then? Thanks!! I really can take courses in ANYTHING, just has to be in French!

Why don%26#39;t you google a bit?

Educational site of the city of Paris:

cours-municipal-d-adultes-cma.cma-paris.org/

ELFE cours de Français à Paris:

Good luck!

At Parisinfo.com there is a wealth of information on guided tours and lectures throughout the city of Paris. It would not be %26quot;a course%26quot; But rather several classes that you could pick and choose on your own. Many are available in French.

This one in particular may be of interest:

CONFERENCIERS DU CENTRE DES MONUMENTS NATIONAUX

You will also find visits of the city available throughout the week in the Pariscope programme, available at the local newstand upon your arrival.

The Office du Tourisme de l%26#39;Ile de France also has brochures listing lectures series available .

Maison de la France is generally very responsive and should be able to get you more information. http://us.franceguide.com/home.asp?
