hotel auteuil eiffel 16th District

Staying there for 3 days, is this a good hotel/area?

We want to do the sights in first day, day in disney second day and my girlfriend would like to shop on the final day.

Any advice to plan our days etc and on the hotel/area would be much appreciated.

It is a safe area but apart from that very residential, not very lively if you are young and want to experiment the real Paris you might be disappointed. It is also an expensive area

Thanks, we will spend the majority of time in the city centre really, but is it far? Also any good places to eat around that area?

You will spend quite a bit of time traveling on the metro or buses from that location, about 20-30 minutes each way. It is nowhere near the sights...

It would be more efficient to stay around the d%26#39;Orsay/St Germain area for easier access to the sights, shopping and entry to RER-A to Disney. Or on the Right Bank near Opera/Pyramides, for the same reasons.

Thanks, We will just spend evenings there and when we awake.

How much will a cab be to the city?

Well. why ask anyones opinion if you have already made up your mind?

For a three day trip you will be wasting a lot of time travelling. Disney alone from where you are will be 1 1/2 hours travel time each way. And that if all goes well.

I would seriously consider changing hotel to the 5 or 6 th arr. There are nice inexspensive ones there.

As for sightseeing , good luck to you trying to do it all in one day! I suggest doing the Arc D%26#39;Trimophe on the %26quot; shopping %26quot; day as you can work your way up the Champs and then finish there for a nice view of the city. ( Climb up) Don%26#39;t try the Effiel as you will probaly spend way too much time in line there, and with only one day to sightsee it is not worth it.

You haven%26#39;t really been to Paris if you haven%26#39;t seen the Eiffel, have you? lol

I would recommend seeing it, but as Joan says, the line to go up would be a big waste of time for a one day visit.
