A new restaurant for cheese and wine lovers

Last week, I was in a new restaurant (open beginning of december) called %26quot;La table de Marc Labourel%26quot; in the 15th arr.The owner used to work for Androuet, a very famous cheese restaurant.

It is a restaurant specialized in cheese : you can choose between two menus (49 euros each) : one with starter, main dish, cheese platter, dessert, all using cheese or a fabulous cheese platter (you choose between 60 cheese, soon they will have 120 of them!!)with wine.

The deco was very nice, elegant, classy and the service really friendly.

We choose the menu with starters, etc : we had deep-pan camembert and goat cheese ravioles with a salad, then a monkfish fillet with a potato purée and turkey in a sheet of brick pastry both served in the same plate and with a cheesy sauce, absolutely delicious, then a cheese selection (among 60 cheese, OMG)and a delicious chocolate cake (it was a birhday). The wine was incredible.

If you go there for dinner, DO NOT eat anything after 11 am the same day or you will explode ! I had to stop eating just after the fish, I was too full. I saw all those wonderful cheese platters and I could not eat a single one!!

Sounds like a good place. Merci, Anne.

I still remember a wonderful, but terribly fillling cheese dinner at Androuet on Rue d%26#39;Amsterdam.

I didn%26#39;t eat for the following 24 hours.

Thanks Anne!

You are making me hungry!!!! I will put it on my list for next time.

I too just made a delicious fondue on Saturday night...lots of cheese...still not really very hungry.. it was very filling

We will take it in on our next trip.

Wouldn%26#39;t you know that you would be

the one to discover it and report on it.

Best holiday to you and Alain from

Anne and myself.

Went to this restaurant on 10th January 2006...what a fantastic place and brilliant food. Service was above and beyond the norm, wine list was superb, we had the discovery menu(49euro) which was just great. Yes you do have to like cheese to enjoy this one but if you do- go for it!! Only a couple of minutes walk from Pasteur Metro on line 12. We will definately be going back the next time we are in Paris.

is it just me or does anyone else find it funny that a restaurant specializing in cheese is at the Pasteur metro stop?

geddit? Pasteur? Pasteurization.....

oh I just crack myself up. :P

I am very glad you enjoyed it !!

I wonder why TA removed 2 posts (including one of mine) ???
