I would recommend Le Tire Bouchon on rue de la Prefecture in the old town. It is open in the evenings only and the back part of the restaurant is nicer in my opinion than the front, the entrance off rue du l%26#39;Abbey (I think) As you are in March, it is likely to be cold and possibly wet in the evening so I think you will really enjoy Le Tire Bouchon, the interior is imimate, low-lit and red-velvet. The food is very good and the service excellent. prices are a little higher than other places, about 28 euros for the set menu, a la carte prices a bit more.

For similar but a bit cheaper, possibly good for a different evening, the interior of Chez Juliette on rue Rossini, off place rosetti in the middle of the old town, is lovely on cold dark nights in Nice, again very romantic, and stylish.

I am sure you would have a good meal in either of these places.

I agree with Le Tire Bouchon. We also loved Le Siècle at the West-End Hotel on the Promenade des Anglais (reservation a must)
