Booking Hotel this week in 5th or 6th dist. Any sugestions...

My Husband and I will be celebrating our 1 year marriage aniversary March 3-14. We%26#39;ve bought our plan tickets and now we need a place to stay. We are interested in the 5th and 6th quarters. We were thinking of maybe staying 4 nights at one hotel, going to the lueve valley for a night (a day trip w/ 1 night stay), and then coming back and and staying the last 4 nights at another hotel just for variety.

Any suggestions? We%26#39;d like to book our hotels by this weekend . . .

Have you looked at the Abbatial Saint Germain in the 5th? I%26#39;m booked there for a stay in 2 wks. Reviewers here and elsewhere have been kind. If location %26amp; price are important to you, check it out.

First of all,not to be mean, but in case you are doing research it is %26quot;Loire Valley%26quot;.

If you%26#39;re going to stay in 2 different hotels, then try staying in two completely different arrondissements, such as the 6th (Left Bank) one time and the 3rd/4th (Right Bank) the other time. That could be fun.

I can highly recommend the Hotel St. Jacques for a romantic, small, affordable hotel in the 5th at a great location. YOu can get a standard double for about 110E a night. A bit more for a larger superior. I stayed there in November after a lot of research and I could not have been happier. Look at the reviews here at TA. It rates very well! The hotel website has a lot of pictures. The building is old and the old plaster high ceilings are still there and the murals on the walls are charming as well. The movie %26quot;Charades%26quot; with Cary Grant was filmed at the hotel, their claim to fame. It could be sold out, so my back-ups for you would be Hotel College de France (even cheaper!) and Grand Hotel des Ecoles.

Great! Please report back what you thought of the hotels! Is that the abbatial St. Germain? I looked at staying there when I chose the St. Jacques, so it will be real nice to hear from someone who can make a comparison!!
