I am considering Nice for a few days at the end of march, but have been put off by something I have heard about the new metro going in. Is it causing loads of disuption and would it be better to visit another time.

We were in Nice last June and there certainly was a fair bit of construction work on Avenue Jean Medecin and at Place Massena due to the development of the tram service. It is more disruptive for traffic rather than pedestrians and should not prevent you visiting this beautiful city. Not sure when the work is due to be completed.
