Travel from CDG to Arc de Triomphe area

After extensive research still not sure whether it would be better to take RER from airport to Chatelet and then catch Metro line 1 to George V stop or Air France coach to ADT and then have short walk. Can anyone be of help.

If you use the search feature of TA and type in airport transfer there are many threads with different opinions on the best method of transfer. I have taken the RER and Metro once and would not suggest using that method with luggage.

Air France coach is a good choice with a short walk to your hotel. Taxi from the AF drop off is also an option.

%26quot;better%26quot; is relative. :)

since you won%26#39;t have jetlag to deal with I%26#39;d say take the metro if your bags are light enough and the AF coach if you%26#39;re a heavy packer. For myself I have always splurged on a taxi since I%26#39;ve got minimum 16 hours travel time after leaving the house.

The connection between Line 1 and the RER is a long long walk in a giant underground station. I would opt for the Air France Bus and enjoy the walk above ground. Plus you dont have stairs and turnstiles to deal with that way.

Parisbaby, Morgan2 and JustGrace thankyou all very much. Think I will go for the coach option and let hubby carry the bags for the short walk to the hotel.

Parisbaby, have had a good scroll through comments on transport. Huge help, now feel a bit foolish for not looking there in first place. Oh well, you live and learn.

Grantle,

No need to feel foolish. I never would have thought about using it either without reading it on one of the Posts.
