Trips outside of paris from paris...

I will be flying into Paris from London on May 7th. We plan to be in Paris for 2 to 3 days and then go to Geneva, Switzerland and Normandy.

Any recommendations on how to get to Geneva via train or other sources? If so, what?

Same question for Normandy....

Any input would be appreciated!

Given your intended itinerary, you%26#39;re not going to have a lot of time for Paris. A trip up to Normandy, to the D-Day beaches region is a very full day trip daytrip any way you do it.

For the connection between Paris and Geneva, perhaps the simplest and fastest method will be one of the direct (no train changes en route) high-speed TGV train from PARIS-Gare de Lyon to GENEVA---approx train travel time 3:30 hrs.

Thanks for the input....

In your opinion, would you either take the trip to Normandy or Geneva out of the picture? From Geneva we were planning to drive up to Chomonix France to check out the little village/ice glaciers.

Chamonix is very quaint and scenic.

Normandy is quaint, scenic, historic and has great food. That%26#39;s where I%26#39;d go. But really, Paris is a one week kind of city if you can afford the time.

Save Normandy of another, longer Paris visit.
