My mother and I (23/46) are going to Paris via Air France March 17-23. We have 3 days to explore the city and we%26#39;re staying at the Hotel Lamarck, which I understand is in the Montmartre area by Sacre Coeur. Neither of us have ever been to Paris- we%26#39;d like to do some touristy things (like the Eiffel Tower %26amp; Louvre) but would also like to wander around (safely) and do the coffe/croissant at a corner cafe thing. Could anyone familiar with the area recommend places to see and how to get there? I%26#39;d heard the Latin Quarter and Angelina%26#39;s were good spots, but how to get there and back? Is the Moulin Rouge worthwhile? Thanks so much!!

Don%26#39;t bother with the Moulin Rouge - you%26#39;ll probably find out that their audience consists of only Americans... Three days is very short, and you%26#39;ll need to make choices!
Don%26#39;t worry too much about safety - Paris is probably much safer than any major city in the USA.
You can take a tour of the city: http://www.paris-opentour.com/en/parisgt.htm
Get acquainted with the public transport system: http:// www.ratp.fr
The metro is not that complicated, and will get you anywhere within the city limits.
