Paris in October

I was thinking about going to Paris October 7th to Oct.15,2006. How is the weather around that time? Would that be a good time to go to Paris? Also any suggestions for a good/decent hotel to stay at which is close to some or all of the major attractions?

Oct 7-15 would be a perfect time to visit Paris. My favorite Autumn months are Sept/Oct, and my favorite Spring months are May/June. Oct weather in Paris will be on par with Chicago, if not a little warmer....cool am, warming-up during the day, and cooling off at night. Wonderful!!

October is high season in Paris because of the fashion and trade shows; so book yourselv a hotel ASAP if you want a good choice--two of our favorite hotels are already full up.

What%26#39;s your hotel budget, and what do you mean by %26quot;good/decent%26quot;? Paris hotels are classified by 1, 2, 3, and 4 stars (no 5 stars--that%26#39;s 4*L, for luxury). If you go to the Paris tourism web site you can get more information on the various hotel levels, which is useful to know before you begin your search.

I stayed in Paris this time from mid

September to early October to miss the

fashion madness. If there is any way you

could go any earlier it would be very beneficial

I%26#39;ve stayed three times in Paris in October. Once it was cool, mayby in to 50%26#39;s F, and more days than not, drizzly. Another time it was warmer than normal with temps in the high 60%26#39;s and both my frined and I wish we had brought some lighter clothes.

IMO it%26#39;s something of a crapshoot. Look just before you go.
