im here for my 21st birthday (it was on thursday) and im having a great time. snowed lightly wednesday and thursday.
my hotel/hostel (absolute paris hostel) is fine! basic but fine. the area is good for us. it is really close to the metro (republique..) and we zip around paris from there.
we went on pont neuf boat tour this evening, and it was freezing! but so nice to see paris at night and i got some really good photos of the twinkling tower.
this is just a brief hello and i will update fully when i get back to ireland.

Ellen - how cool to celebrate your 21st in Paris! It reminded me that my son spent his 18th birthday traveling by train, then plane, leaving northern Italy, going through France, England then back to San Francisco - all still on his birthday because of the time changes.
