paris- shopping with teenage girls

Spending a week in Paris with husband and two daughters -12 and 15. WOuld like to spend a (small) amount of time with them shopping for clothing etc. Obviously not looking to shop at CHanel etc. We live in D.C. so have access to many shops but I am wondering if there is any area or specific stores that would be unique to Paris and appropriate for the girls. I%26#39;d appreciate any thoughts.

thank you.

Hello story4110, as you said you don%26#39;t really want to shop at Chanel a large portion of the Champs Elysees (Paris%26#39; 5th Avenue) is out of the question as a lot of the shops on this street are very expensive, however there are a few nice, cheap stores along this street and side streets trailing away from it. Another street, my daughter%26#39;s favorite, is Rue de Rivoli- this street has cheaper stores, a lot of them American, such as Quiksilver, and French stores as well. This street is more %26quot;teenager%26quot; friendly. I would try both, as they are a short metro ride away, and both have what you are looking for.

My neice very much enjoyed Printemps on bvd, Haussmann and also H %26amp; M on the same street. We got some darling stuff at H%26amp;M, all very reasonably priced. We also went to ETAM which is a lingerie chain and purchased several camisoles and cute PJs.

Try Kookai (multiple locations http://www.kookai.fr), Morgan (www.morgandetoi.com) and Zara on the Champs Elysees. All extremely popular with young French girls/women.

Opera district is, IMHO, the best for shopping : you have Mango and Zara just close to each other, then if you walk a little you have the largest department stores Printemps and Galeries Lafayette. On rue Tronchet (close to Printemps), there is a nice store called Massimo Dutti, then Etam lingerie and my favourite %26quot;Princesse TamTam%26quot; lingerie.

Bargain shopping for clothes (t-shirts, skirts, jackets, etc...) at SYMPA stores in Sacre Couer area. Lots of souvenir shopping around that area too. Metro = Anvers.

Thank you all- this is very helpful!

Another vote for KOOKAI and Mango.

Also, if you have time: the Marais (4th) district is a super-fun neighborhood for window shopping. (May be more expensive though.)

MELLOW YELLOW in the Marais has cute, well-priced shoes. I bought a pair of pink ballet flats (soft leather) there that I love.

%26quot;Paul et Joe%26quot; has sporty chic clothes. (Again, more expensive than the previously mentioned stores, but you never know...You may catch a great sale.)

Have fun!

For teenagers i would say go to rue de Rivoli and then the lower part of Boulevard St Michel : Etam (big shop on rue de Rivoli), Pimkie (cheap and really teenagers), Naf Naf, H%26amp;M.
