Will be in Nice for 3 night in early May. Hotel Gounod sounds good with good rate. Le Meridien is more expensive (+$94) but right along the water. We will be seeing the sights so we don%26#39;t plan on spending time at the beach. Can you give some feedback on which hotel to choose. Thanks. Janet NYC

Hotel Gounod is in a very nice residential area, close to Victor Hugo Blvd and to a fantastic park, Jardin Alsace-Lorraien. It is not that far from the promenade des Angalis (10 min walk approx.), so you would have the best of both worlds. And Hotel Gounod is about 5 minutes from the train station.
