Anyone stayed in few of the Citadines in Paris?

Seems that the rates vary for each Citadines in Paris. Are they very similar? Is one better than another in terms of decor, how new it is, etc. The obvious difference in location of course. But how about quality of the apartment? Which would u recommend? Thanks!

Look in previous threads where some of us answer part of that question.

1st of all, most Citadines are pretty look alikes as far as rooms are concerned. The exterior appearance of the hotel may vary but the interior is quite the same. So the difference in price in Paris Citadines is due to their locations.

For instance the Tour Eiffel one is in the 15th, across the street from a Monoprix that closes at 10PM and across the street from Métro Lamotte-Piquet-Grenelle, nonetheless it is only 130 euro a night for a double room in the 1st 2 weeks of September while the St-germain-des-Prés one for the same room and same period will be 170 euros a night.

It is all a matter of proximity to where you feel like staying. They all have their pros and againsts.

I am a regular at Citadines, not only Paris but Nice also, and i love it. It is as close to an aprtment you can get and still have the feeling of an hotel and especially its safety. My wife would carry all papers and passports and too much stuff if we would rent an aprtment because most apartments don%26#39;t have in-room safes. Citadines does, so we%26#39;d rather pay more and go to Citadines because of that safety thing.

And we love the location of the Tour Eiffel (we have been staying in the 15th for the past 15 years), we feel at home there.

Thanks for the help. It seems like there are only 2 room categories: studio and apartment for 4. What do you mean by a double room? From the description of a studio on Expedia, they said it is pull out sofa beds. Is this correct from your experience? Thanks.

Citadines is very similar to the Extended Stay America chain in the USA. I have never stayed in one in France but I know others that have. I have heard good things about them, they are clean, reliable but rather unremarkable. I think they are a good value for the most part.

The prices correspond more to location than decor, the more central the location the higher the rates.

We have stayed in a couple of them in France and I checked out the rooms at the one in the 15th. All are pretty much the same. Very functional, very convenient, not much luxury.

I don%26#39;t remember which size we book, but we get one bedroom with a double bed and a seperate living room where there is a pull out couch for the kids.

Double room is a studio for 2 and yes we are talking about sofa beds. They are quite OK according to my standards.

As I have previously said, ana partment is cheaper and may suit your needs also except that you have to account for restrictions (no safe in apartments and sometimes no concierge downstairs) and also for the security deposit you have to make (I know it%26#39;s refundable but stil a problem for us North Americans) and finally the payment in advance thing (wiring money, etc). At Citadines I have enough comfort for my needs, I guarantee my reservation by a credit card but I pay in cash when I book in person (my European clients pay me in cash so I always have Euros)

Just arrived back in London tonight after 2 nights at Citadines Les Halles. Overall we were very happy with the studio apartment and the location. Walking distance to Notre Dame and the Seine and 2 metro stations just a few minutes away.

We would definitely stay there again. In a few days I%26#39;ll post a hotel review with photos.
