Can I use the paris visite carte ??????

Can I use the visite carte to take the roissy bus or RER into the center of Paris? Or does this require an additional fee?

|||

I don%26#39;t think the Roissybus is covered... but the RER is, however you have to buy the one for zones 1-5, since CDG is in zone 5. I think the extra price for the extra zones exceeds the 8€ it would cost to just buy the RER ticket. (unless you are coming in AND going out to CDG during the pass%26#39;s valid period.

|||

nutty, do you know if it is a seven or five day pass?

|||

YES---if you have a PARIS VISITÉ pass valid for Zones 1-5, BOTH the RER %26#39;B%26#39; train and ROISSYBUS from CDG are covered (does NOT include any Ari France Coaches). The only Zone 1-5 transportation pass that does NOT cover airport transfer transportation (RER or Roissybus) is the one-calendar-day MOBILIS pass.

But...unless the timing of your visit allows you to use your PARIS VISITÉ Zone 1-5 pass for airport transfers both coming from and going back out to the airport and for one other RER trip outside of Paris, it probably doesn%26#39;t pay to buy a PV Zone 1-5...and you may be better off simply purchasing a separate ROISSYBUS ticket from the driver. Do the math--

KD, are you sure about Roissybus? The Paris Visite text doesn%26#39;t mention it..

%26quot;..Paris Visite, the essential pass for visiting the whole of Paris!

Paris Visite allows you to travel with total freedom and as often as you wish. Consisting of a card and a coupon, this ticket opens the doors to the entire Ile-de-France network: * * *metro, RER, bus, tramway, SNCF Transilien suburban trains, Montmartre funicular railway, Montmartrobus, Noctilien, Optile network buses* * * according to the zones chosen (1 to 3, 1 to 5 or 1 to 8). A few destinations among many others: Disneyland Resort Paris (zone 5), Château de Versailles (zone 4) or alternatively, Charles de Gaulle (zone 5) and Orly (zone 4) airports....%26quot;

Okay, I found the site with the different day passes, however, it is unclear what the 10 carnet discounted fare is for?

|||

Wow you people on this forum are super! Thank you! I am getting a good feel for the transportation. I think a three day 1-3 and then a one day 1-5 (going to versailles) and then a 10 carnet for the next two days. I cant wait! We are going March 1

You%26#39;ll take note that the one-calendar day MOBILIS transportation pass is missing from that list. The MOBILIS Zone 1 à 5 pass is specifically exempted for use for ANY airport transfers from either CDG or ORLY--

%26quot;..Mobilis enables you to travel, within the limit of the zones chosen, on the lines of the RATP, the SNCF Island-of-France and on networks OPTILE, with the exception of the service roads of airports (Orlybus, Orlyval, Roissybus, Roissyrail and Orlyrail)....%26quot; (BabelFish Translation)
