Paris Apartments

Anyone have any experience renting an apartment in Paris for a month or two?

Where did you go (web site, agency?) to connect with someone about renting?

How was your experience in the place? Was it clean?

Any tips?

If you do a search in the Paris forum for %26quot;apartment%26quot; you will find tons of threads on the topic with lots of recommendations and advice (I just bumped one of them to the top).

I think most people on this forum have had positive experiences with renting apartments. I think it%26#39;s the way to go, especially if you are planning a stay of a month or two.

do you need a special visa to visit for longer than a month? (2 months for example?)

You can stay up to 90 days without a visa (coming from the USA).

WE (7 of us) just returned from a week in Paris, staying in a rental apartment in the 15th. AS another poster mentioned, there are many agencies -- go to Google, or craigslist. I ended up with www.feelslikehomeinparis.com and was very pleased. Our apartment had 4 bedrooms and a very nice living space, but the agency has others. The service was great, the arrangements painless.
