Any night club/discotheque tips for Paris?

Just got back from Paris a few days ago. I must say finding night clubs/discotheques in Paris was a challenge for us tourists every night. The majority would tell us to go to Champs Elysee area but was not able to tell us which specific clubs are open and fun to go to on a specific night. Every night, we found ourselves getting off at Metro George V and asking people around. Anyway, here are some tips:

1. Some night clubs in Paris are selective of who they let in. It%26#39;s good to have connections. Sometimes you need to buy a bottle worth 180 Euros for four people just to get in. Dress up and stand out because sometimes this will help you get selected.

2. Research before you go to Paris....Go to www.tilllate.com. This site tells you where, when, what music, how much it cost to get in and pics of who will be in that club. A few photographers approached us for pics at the clubs so they can post them on this site. Glad we did it and now we%26#39;re showing them to all our friends.

3. Le Queen club on Monday nights is the only night where the majority of people are straight. It%26#39;s ladies night too. The music is great and lots of fun!

4. Six Seven, Garden Club and Le Man Ray clubs are tourist friendly - not very selective.

5. Bastille and Montparnasse areas are suppose to be good too but unfortunately, we didn%26#39;t have time to go.

6. Beware of L%26#39;Etoile and VIP clubs because they are very selective. You could be lining up for hours and once you get to the door, they reject you.

Hope this helps.

Anyone else have night clubs/discotheques tips for Paris?

Here%26#39;s more tips:

7. Some cover charge include one drink.

8. Some clubs have age limit starting from 18 and others from 21.

9. Coat check is about 3-4 Euros

10. Pacha club on Wednesday nights is suppose to be a great place for Spanish salsa, merengue, reggaeton and bachata.

11. Most clubs get busy around midnight.

12. Clubs are open till daylight. We found ourselves going home at 6am.

13. Overall, the people we met at the night clubs/discotheque were friendly, fun and down to earth. We rarely met pretentious people at these clubs. We found Parisians very nice people.

G Explorer: Hey, thanks for the great advice. We wished we had more time to go dancing when we were in Paris.

Apparently PULP on a Thursday has a very fun, interesting crowd. Also in the warmer months, BATOFAR is supposed to be pretty interesting (on a boat outdoors)

Did you have a FAVORITE place?

Cheers from NYC

Gexplorer, thanks for the info. What was the cover on Monday at Le Queen? Did you stand in a long line or what was the entry procedure? It will be three of us girls traveling together and we are upper 30s. Are we older than most? Thanks!

There were 5 of us ladies ranging from mid 20s to mid 30s... Le Queen on Monday night was 15 Euros. It%26#39;s Disco night...Lot%26#39;s of great music. We met many people there in their 20s to 30s and you can say 40s too... It%26#39;s a fun place...

Barrio Latino at Metro Bastille also has an older crowd, say mid 20s and above...

Enjoy!!!
